Christmas Under Control

I went Christmas shopping today.
Yes, Christmas shopping AT the mall, just four shopping days until Christmas.

Why?

As one who is a natural gift-giver, and as one who loves Christmas, shopping for presents for those most dear to me should be an enjoyable process.

But it never is. I wander the malls, wondering what might appeal to my family. I complain that they're hard to buy for and that I am too poor to afford what they'd enjoy. I mutter to myself about the Christmas fools, so caught up in the materialism of the season that they cannot recognize their wayward habits.

Of course I'm one of them.
That's my biggest frustration with the season.
My own lack of control!
