Surrounded by God's Love

If you read my last post, you know I've been thinking a lot about love lately. Even since writing that post Saturday, though, my heart has been overwhelmed by the Goodness of God surrounding me and those I love.

Cooper made a decision to follow Jesus last night. At 5 1/2 years old, he is the oldest of my pseudo-nephews, and I have always loved who he is.

Katie shared a letter she wrote to her son, Eliot, that brought me to tears. There might be nothing greater on this earth than a mother's love for her child.

After more than a year of waiting, Cheri is bringing Eliana home from Guatemala!

One day later this month, Chris and Lindsey Wheeler will find out about a judge's ruling on whether or not they can adopt Xiomara. This amazing couple continues to pray for this baby girl who may or may not come to live in their home. I am inspired by their continual choice to pray the best for Xio, regardless of what that means for their hearts. If this is not the love a parent has for her child, I don't know what is!

And then I got this in my inbox this morning. This is the epitome of what i was saying I love about my dad. He used to work for Minolta, hated every minute of it, and is now happily working construction. You have to pay attention to him to catch these moments.

Go visit these people today; share their stories with them. And enjoy your day, knowing that God is at work all around us if we will only have eyes to see it.

Love,
Erin

Watching that video, I can't help but think of Office Space- the scene where they destroy the copy machine with baseball bats and the occasional ax kick. Although I can't very well picture your dad destroying that machine with same gangsta rap song playing in the background: "Die, m-----f-----! Die, m-----f-----! Die!" :)
