200th Post

It seems appropriate that my 200th post should be something worthwhile.

Maybe this is, maybe it isn't. But I think so!

I changed my "faceb00k status" the other day and have been absolutely inundated with comments and wall posts and the like. I changed the status from "single" to "in a relationship." In an effort to simplify answering all the questions, I created a note of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and posted it there. So here's the rundown on the recent change in my life for those of you not on faceb00k.

1. Who is this boy?
His name is Peter Moore.

2. Where did you meet him?
I met him in yoga class around March or April. Our instructor, Tim, kept trying to get us together but we both had our own reservations about the deal. Eventually, Pete was ready, but I spent another month or two trying to convince myself that dating wasn't a good idea. We see how well THAT worked out.

3. Does he go to your church?
NO! Thank heavens for that. He does GO to church, but he goes to his own. He's active there and I'm glad he doesn't feel compelled to worship with me. Our churches are very different - plus I'm WORKING when I'm at my church.

4. What's he like?
This is the hard one to answer. He's funny; he's got a bit of a remnant "wild child" streak; he's cautious (I know, how can you be both!?); he's intelligent; he's a hard worker; he's VERY easily distracted; he's a dreamer.

5. Do you have a picture of him?
Not a good one. A few from vacation last month, but none of them are great. I'll post it when I've got one.

6. He went on vacation with you?
Yes. For the first time in my life, I took someone (male or female) on family vacation. It was sort of my "litmus test" to see how it would go. It went swimmingly (pun definitely intended!) - he got along great in that environment and so I was sold.

7. So how long have you been "in a relationship" then?
Well ... that's also hard to answer. We first kissed the weekend of the 4th of July, but then I second guessed myself and backed off a little bit for a week or so. I think we have probably been official (can you "probably be official"?) since about August 1.

8. What took you so long to change your status?
This exact thing. I knew a million people would have a million questions, so until I was ready to answer them, I kept it sort of quiet.

9. What does he do?
He works for the Post Office. He repairs the machines they use and is about one class away from being an Electronic Technician. He is also in school to finish his degree.

10. How old is this guy?
He is 34 years old.

11. Is he cute?
Of course. Would I choose otherwise? ;)

12. Is he good to you?
He thinks I hung the moon! I couldn't ask for someone to treat me better.

So that's the long and the short of it. I'm sure you'll hear more of him in the days and weeks to come.

Love you all,
Erin

I remember those first days of an amazing relationship...cherish them! Not that a good relationship goes bad when marriage and kids enter it, of course not, but it definitely is not as exciting as those first magic days! Enjoy this time!
