I just got to witness a set of birth parents signing over their son for the final time. Adoptive parents talk all the time about "I wonder what goes through their heads." Today I got to see it. At least for these parents, it isn't tearful, it isn't hard, it isn't sad. It's relief that I saw on their faces.
For all of my friends who have adopted, I wish you could have been here for these few minutes of a glimpse into the world of adoption. It was neat.
